The U.S. representatives for golf at the Tokyo Games were once again heavily dictated by the Official World Golf Ranking. At the time of this writing, the four golfers set to represent the men in Tokyo are as follows:

- Justin Thomas
- Collin Morikawa
- Xander Schauffele
- Bryson DeChambeau

Dustin Johnson, the No. 1 ranked U.S. golfer, confirmed in March that he will not be competing at the Tokyo Games.

On the women's side, the following U.S. golfers are also set to make the trip to Tokyo:

- Nelly Korda
- Danielle Kang
- Lexi Thompson
- Jessica Korda
