When to watch golf during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games
Two golf tournaments will be staged for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Paris marks the third consecutive Olympic Games to include golf after its extended absence ended in Rio in 2016. The men will have the honor, teeing off first on Thursday, August 1 during Round 1, with the final round to be played on Sunday, August 4.
Once the course has been repaired, it will be the women’s turn, with play starting on Wednesday, August 7 and concluding on Saturday, August 10.
Venue
The home of the 2018 Ryder Cup, Le Golf National in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, will host the Olympic golf tournaments for men and women in 2024. Le Golf National is known for its links-inspired bunkers and undulating fairways. But unlike a links course, water can be found on numerous holes and will test even the steeliest of nerves.

Team USA: Olympic golfers to watch
The United States heads to Le Golf National boasting by far the most accomplished group of golfers representing a single nation. Of the seven Americans across both the men's and women's fields, all seven are ranked among the top 10 in the world for their gender. Six of the seven are major champions.
The men's squad is headlined by World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, in the middle of a historic 2024 season in which he's already won six events, including the Masters Tournament and The Players Championship. Scheffler will make his Olympic debut in Paris and will be joined by World No. 3 and defending Olympic gold medalist, Xander Schauffele. Schauffele, who for years was considered among the best active golfers yet to win a major, ditched that label by winning the PGA Championship in May. Two-time major champion Collin Morikawa and 2023 U.S. Open champ Wyndham Clark round out the U.S. men's foursome after edging out several other top American stars in the Olympic qualifying rankings. All four golfers are among the top contenders for a podium finish.
The same can be said for Team USA's trio of competitors in the women's field, headlined by World No. 1 and reigning gold medalist Nelly Korda. Korda, like Scheffler, has also won an unprecedented six tournaments this year, including a major championship (The Chevron Championship in April). She'll wear the same colors as World No. 2 Lilia Vu, who won two of the five majors in 2023. Finally, 21-year-old phenom Rose Zhang, already ranked No. 8 in the world, rounds out the stellar U.S. team.
