Germany swept the podium in the two-woman event at the World Cup in Winterberg, led by Laura Nolte and Deborah Levi, who took the win with a combined time of 1 minute 53.63 seconds. The German duo delivered the fastest second heat of the competition to pull clear of teammates Lisa Buckwitz and Kira Lipperheide, who finished 2nd at 1:53.79, while Kim Kalicki and Leonie Fiebig completed the sweep in 3rd at 1:54.29.
The United States’ top result came from Kaillie Humphries and Sylvia Hoffman (1:54.58), who finished 4th, less than a second off the win. Humphries and Hoffman stayed within podium range across both heats and were competitive through the middle sections, ultimately finishing 0.95 seconds behind the leaders.
Another U.S. sled followed closely, with Elana Meyers Taylor and Jasmine Jones (1:54.87) finishing 8th. After a slower opening run, Meyers Taylor and Jones delivered a significantly improved second heat, climbing several positions and remaining within striking distance of the top group. Kaysha Love and Azaria Hill (1:54.95) rounded out the American contingent in 10th, continuing a strong showing of U.S. depth inside the top 10.
A total of 27 sleds competed with no disqualifications, and the results again highlighted Germany’s dominance on home ice, while the United States placed three teams inside the top 10 as the Olympic season continues to build toward the 2026 Milan Cortina Games.

Winterberg marks historic 100th races in the four-man event.
Germany continued its dominance at Winterberg in the men’s 4-man bobsled, with Francesco Friedrich and his team winning in 1 minute 49.07 seconds in what marked his 100th World Cup start in the discipline. Friedrich’s crew led after the first heat and held off a tightly-packed field, with the top three separated just by 0.06 seconds.
Johannes Lochner (1:49.09) finished 2nd, just 0.02 seconds behind. The result also marked Lochner’s 100th career World Cup podium across the 2-man and 4-man events. Adam Ammour (1:49.13) completed a German sweep in 3rd, delivering the fastest second heat to finish 0.06 seconds back of the win.
The top American result came from Kristopher Horn (1:49.61), whose sled finished 8th after opening with the fastest start time of the first heat. A second U.S. sled led by Frank del Duca (1:50.01) placed 16th.
With five of seven races complete, Lochner holds the overall 4-man World Cup lead, narrowly ahead of Friedrich, as the Olympic-year World Cup season continues.
