Kaillie Humphries continued her strong start to the new year with a 4th-place finish in the women’s monobob race at the IBSF World Cup in St. Moritz-Celerina.
Humphries was the fastest member of Team USA for the day, finishing 0.72 seconds off the winning pace. With three races under her belt in 2026, Humphries has yet to finish outside the top five, placing 4th and 5th in Winterberg. She currently sits 4th in the women’s monobob World Cup rankings.
Australian Bree Walker claimed her third monobob victory in the past four races, with her only stumble coming in Winterberg. She posted a blistering total time of 2:23.27, capping a perfect race with the fastest run in both heats. Melanie Hasler of Switzerland finished in second (+0.53) to secure her first podium of the World Cup season, while Katrin Beierl (AUT) mounted a furious comeback from 9th in the first heat to finish in third.
Joining Humphries in the top 10 was U.S. teammate Elana Meyers Taylor, 1.19 seconds off Walker’s winning time. It is another consistent performance for Meyers Taylor, who only has finished outside the top 10 once since placing 19th in the season’s opening race in Cortina d’Ampezzo back in November.
Kaysha Love was the last member of Team USA to compete in the monobob race, finishing in 14th. It is Love’s third time finishing outside the top 10 in a season where she already has four podiums. After the race in St. Moritz-Celerina, Love is positioned 8th in the standings.
On the men’s side, Frank del Duca and Joshua Williamson put together a pair of strong runs in the 2-man event to finish 7th. The pair have been incredibly consistent when riding together this season: in four races, they have finished 5th three times and 7th once.
The star German pairing of Johannes Lochner and Georg Fleischhauer continued their dominant streak, winning their third consecutive two-man event with a total time of 2:12.24. They were joined by teammates Francesco Friedrich and Alexander Schuller in second (+0.78), while British partners Brad Hall and Taylor Lawrence managed to spoil the German sweep and take third (+1.19).
With just under a month to go until the Olympics, Germany has dominated the 2-man event, holding the top-three spots in the World Cup standings. Del Duca currently sits 4th overall in the event standings.
The IBSF World Cup in St. Moritz-Celerina will continue Sunday morning with the 2-woman and 4-man events. Coverage will begin at 3 a.m. ET with the 2-woman race.
