Just four days after earning monobob bronze for her fifth Olympic medal, Kaillie Humphries has added a sixth to her legendary resume.

Humphries and her push athlete Jasmine Jones dazzled under the lights at Cortina Sliding Centre to claim bronze in two-woman bobsled with a 0.15-second gap to 4th place.

Humphries now has her first Olympic two-woman medal since she joined Team USA. She last took bronze at PyeongChang 2018 as a member of the Canadian team.

RESULTS

Coming off a heartbreaking result in which she lost monobob gold by 0.04 seconds, Laura Nolte bounced back to defend her two-woman bobsled gold medal. Her push athlete, Deborah Levi, also won with her at Beijing 2022.

Nolte’s fellow German Lisa Buckwitz took home silver with Neele Schuten. Buckwitz won two-woman gold at PyeongChang 2018 as a push athlete.

Making her Olympic two-woman pilot debut was Kaysha Love, who finished an impressive 5th place with Azaria Hill. Love and Hill were track & field teammates at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Monobob gold medalist Elana Meyers Taylor and her push athlete Jadin O’Brien made a great recovery to tie for 7th place with Switzerland’s Debora Annen and Salome Kora.

Meyers Taylor and O’Brien - who ended Friday way down in 12th place after hitting the wall on Run 2 - made up tremendous time on Run 3 to jump up six places.

"I'm happy in the sense that it was a blessing in disguise [after] things went so horribly yesterday, because I was able to come out and enjoy these two runs,'" Meyers Taylor told reporters. "I was able to come out and see what I could do, see what I could make happen.

"Even if the last run still wasn't what I wanted, the first run was pretty solid. That's the run I want to do. But it's been a hell of a journey."

Still to come in bobsled

Women's bobsled competition is over, so it will all come down to the final two runs of the four-man event on Sunday, Feb. 22. Americans Kris Horn and Frank Del Duca will bid farewell to Cortina Sliding Centre with Run 3 slated for 4 a.m. ET. Run 4 will follow at 5:50 a.m.
