Kendall Gretsch and Andrew Kurka will lead the U.S. Paralympic team into Sunday's Closing Ceremony, the USOPC announced.

Gretsch, 33, is competing at her third Winter Paralympics. She's been one of the most decorated Americans at the Milan Cortina Games, having won four medals (one gold, one silver, two bronze) across para biathlon and para cross-country skiing events — a total only matched by her teammate Oksana Masters. An accomplished para triathlete, Gretsch is also one of the few U.S. athletes who have won medals at both the summer and winter editions of the Paralympics during their career.

Kurka, 34, is also competing at his third Winter Paralympics. Dealing with multiple injuries at the 2022 Paralympics, he skied just one race (placing 4th) before withdrawing from the rest of the para Alpine skiing events. Kurka has only finished one of the four events he's raced in Cortina — due to two DNFs and a DQ — but returned to the podium with a 3rd-place finish in the men's super-G. The bronze was the third medal of the Alaska native's career and his first since 2018.

The flagbearers were voted on by members of the U.S. Paralympic team.

The Closing Ceremony will take place at the Cortina Curling Olympic Stadium on Sunday, March 15. The ceremony will stream live on NBCOlympics.com and Peacock, and will also air live on CNBC. Coverage starts at 3:30 p.m. ET.
