The women's 10km pursuit and the men's 12.5km pursuit events finished off the IBU World Cup weekend in Ruhpolding, Germany.
The women's field began the day and all eyes were on Sweden's Hanna Oeberg after she won the 7.5km sprint title.
But it was French biathlete Lou Jeanmonnot who took home gold after a runner-up finish in the sprint race. Jeanmonnot sprinted across the finish in 29 minutes and 26.6 seconds with just one miss on the day.
Though she said she was very disappointed in a miss on the final shooting stage, she was happy to close out the race on top. "In the end she (Oeberg) didn't catch me in the last uphill, so I gave everything I had at this moment, and it was enough," Jeanmonnot said after the pursuit.
Oeberg secured silver after she crossed the finish line 10.5 seconds behind the French winner.
Jeanmonnot's teammate Camille Bened shot clean on the day and finished 2.4 seconds behind Oeberg for the final spot on the podium.
The final men's pursuit before the Olympic Games showcased an extremely-tight race of incredible biathlon talent.
The last shooting stage was packed with drama with misses across the board, which led to an exhilarating final lap.
Norway's Johannes Dale-Skjevdal and French biathlete Eric Perrot were neck and neck, nearly stepping on each other's equipment down the final stretch. But Dale-Skjevdal exploded at the end to beat out Perrot by 4.9 seconds for back-to-back pursuit victories in Ruhpolding. The Norwegian biathlete claimed his first win of the season in 30 minutes, 23.9 seconds.
Dale-Skjevdal pounded his chest as he glided across the line in front of Perrot to secure the 12.5km pursuit win.
"When my son is here for his first World Cup race I had to give him something special, today I felt like I did that," Dale-Skjevdal said after the race.
Perrot edged out Martin Ponsiluoma of Sweden by 2.6 seconds to take second place.
The third-place finish for Ponsiluoma marked his first podium of the World Cup season.
IBU World Cup competition continues in Nove Mesto na Morave, Czechia on Jan. 22 for the final biathlon events before the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
