July 22-26: 2026 Men's Water Polo World Cup (Sydney, Australia)
The final of the men’s water polo world cup in Australia will secure World Aquatics Championships spots for the top three teams.

July 22-26: 2026 Women's Water Polo World Cup (Sydney, Australia)
The World Cup final in Australia will secure World Aquatics Championships spots for the top three women’s teams.

July 23-26: 2026 USATF Outdoor Championships (New York, New York)
The best U.S. track and field athletes will compete for national titles at Icahn Stadium on Randalls Island. 

July 28-Aug. 1: 2026 Toyota National Championships (Irvine, California)
National titles are on the line in California, as the nation's top swimmers compete across distances and strokes. 

Aug. 6-9: 2026 Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships (Phoenix, Arizona)
Artistic gymnasts compete in both apparatus and all-around events for a national championship, and a chance to be named to the senior national team. 

Aug. 12-15: 2026 Pan Pacific Championships (Irvine, California)
Swimmers from the U.S., Australia, Canada and Japan compete in a key event ahead of the 2028 Games. 

Sept. 3-13: FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup (Berlin, Germany)
The first women’s basketball teams will secure their berths to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Oct. 17-25: FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships (Rotterdam, Netherlands)
Elite gymnasts head to the Netherlands to compete in team, all-around and individual apparatus finals. The three highest-scoring national teams can qualify for the 2028 Olympics.

Dec. 6: 2026 USATF Marathon Championships (Sacramento, California)
Long distance runners compete in the USATF Marathon Championships in Sacramento.

June 24-July 25: 2027 Women's FIFA World Cup (Brazil)
The U.S. women's national team will look to follow up their Olympic gold medal with a World Cup trophy. The tournament will bring together 32 teams from around the world to crown the best team.

June 26-July 18: 2027 World Aquatics Championships (Budapest, Hungary)
Athletes in aquatic disciplines (swimming, diving, open water swimming, artistic swimming, and water polo) compete for world titles.

Aug. 2-Sept. 6: 2027 FIVB Women's Volleyball World Cup (United States, Canada)
The top women’s volleyball teams face off for a world title across the U.S. and Canada. The final will be held in the planned volleyball venue for the 2028 Games, giving athletes the opportunity to compete at the Honda Arena in Anaheim, California.

Aug. 13-22: 2027 Beach Volleyball World Championships (Netherlands)
The Championships will feature the top 48 in men’s and women’s beach volleyball.

Aug. 27-Sept. 12: FIBA Men's Basketball World Cup (Doha, Qatar)
The first men’s basketball teams will secure their berths to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

Sept. 10-26: 2027 FIVB Men's Volleyball World Cup (Poland)
Thirty-two national teams head to venues across Poland to play for a world title. 

Sept. 11-19: World Athletic Championships (Beijing, China)
A biennial event, the top track and field athletes compete for world titles. 

Sept. 28-Oct. 6: FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships (Chengdu, China)
Leading into the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, the top gymnasts in the world compete. Nine teams will secure berths to the Games for both the men’s and women’s events.
