After a thrilling and successful slate of soccer at the 2024 Paris Olympics, the beautiful game is back for another Games. After winning with new coach Emma Hayes, the U.S. women's team will be back to defend its gold medal from Paris. On the men's side, Spain will hope to find magic from their young stars once again, while France looks to level up from a silver to gold medal.

What are the Olympic soccer events for 2028?

There will be two soccer tournaments at the Los Angeles Olympics, a 12-team men's tournament and a 16-team women's tournament.

What is the competition schedule for soccer at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics?

A world-wide favorite, soccer will span the length of the 2028 Olympics, with group stage games starting on Monday, July 10 and the women's gold medal match being played on July 29.

Where will the soccer competition be held at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics?

Soccer during the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics won’t just be set in southern California. Group stage and knockout games will take place in six U.S. cities: New York, Columbus, Ohio, Nashville, Tennessee, St. Louis, Missouri, San Jose, California and San Diego, California. Finals will take place at the Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.

The Rose Bowl also hosted Olympic events at the 1932 and 1984 Los Angeles Games.
