Where is tennis being played at the Paris Olympics?
Legendary tennis stadium Roland-Garros will be the home for tennis during the Olympics. Built in 1928, Roland-Garros hosts one of the four tennis Grand Slams each year. The stadium has been modernized and expanded over the years and now has 18 clay courts. The main court, Philippe-Chatrier Court, will host the finals for each event as well as matches throughout the tournament.
How big is the stadium?
Philippe-Chatrier court has a capacity of 14,962 spectators. Other courts at Roland-Garros include Court Suzanne Lenglen, with a capacity of 10,068, and Court Simonne Mathieu, with a capacity of 5,000.
The Phillippe-Chartier court has had a retractable roof since 2020. A retractable roof on the Court Suzanne Lenglen is set to debut at the French Open in May.
How much will tickets cost?
Tickets for the tennis sessions range from 30 to 420 Euros (approximately $33 to $456 USD) at face value.
