Every four years, the Winter Olympics leave behind a handful of moments that live on long after the Olympic flame is extinguished.

In the most recent episodes of "Two Guys, Five Rings," an NBC Olympics podcast, Saturday Night Live cast member Bowen Yang and actor Matt Rogers looked back at some of their favorite moments from past Winter Olympic Games. Figure skater Michelle Kwan's silver and bronze medal skates are two Winter Olympic moments that stood out the most to Yang, prompting Rogers to recall his excitement when fellow Long Islander Sarah Hughes won gold in 2002 in Salt Lake City.

"I remember feeling still sad for Michelle Kwan even though my hometown girl Sarah Hughes came out on top," Rogers said. "But it was thrilling watching Sarah slay."

Both Yang and Rogers agreed that PyeongChang brought out some of the most iconic Winter Olympic moments. "This was really when culture felt good," Yang said. Chloe Kim claiming her first gold medal, Jessie Diggins winning the United States' first-ever cross-country skiing gold, and Shaun White becoming the first snowboarder to win three gold medals all were iconic in Rogers and Yang's eyes. Another standout memory in PyeongChang for Rogers was when Mirai Nagasu landed a triple Axel during the figure skating team event, helping the U.S. take home the bronze behind Canada and the Russian Olympic Committee.

"Many thought [Nagasu's] Olympic moment had passed, but no," Yang said. "2018 was a very, very big year. Mirai Nagasu faced a moment that felt like both personal redemption and a challenge to the streak."

Hear all of that and more on the latest episode of Two Guys, Five Rings.
