Staying in Milan just got a whole lot cozier for U.S. figure skating, hockey and speed skating athletes during the upcoming 2026 Milan Cortina Olympic Games.

For the first time ever, three major National Governing Bodies (NGBs) — U.S. Figure Skating, USA Hockey and US Speedskating — announced their plans to work together to create a one of a kind ‘athlete-first’ hospitality center called ICE House for athletes, their families and partners in the heart of Milan.

ICE House will take over the Aethos Milan hotel from February 6-22, transforming the space into a retreat that reflects the magic of the Olympic Games, helping the Team USA community come together and celebrate the athletes.

“ICE House is an excellent first collaboration between our partner NGBs to create a premium experience at the Olympic Winter Games,” U.S. Figure Skating chief executive officer Matt Farrell said. “We expect this venue to be a main hub for athletes, families, media and our supporters.”

The hospitality will host immersive activities including visits from figure skating, hockey and speed skating Olympic champions and legends, medal ceremonies and competition watch parties among other sponsored events, with NBC providing a unique window into the energy of the Olympic Games.

“Together with our friends at figure skating and speed skating, we’re excited to bring the ICE House to life in Milan,” said Pat Kelleher, executive director of USA Hockey. “There is nothing like the magic of the Olympic Games, and we look forward to the ICE House serving as a welcoming home to celebrate our athletes.”

ICE house also will double as a media hub for digital outlets and creators to stream content straight from Milan to fans back in the U.S. For those staying in Milan, ICE House will host an evolving exhibit showcasing artifacts from various Team USA athletes. After the 2026 Paralympic Games, the exhibit will travel back to the United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum in Colorado Springs.

“We’re thrilled to team up with our friends at USA Hockey and USA Figure Skating, creating a destination for athletes and their family and friends to gather during the Winter Olympic Games,” said US Speedskating Executive Director Ted Morris. “ICE House will be the place to be in Milan for the Team USA community.”
