USA Bobsled-Skeleton confirmed its full Olympic lineup for the 2026 Winter Games in Cortina d’Ampezzo, completing a months-long selection process shaped by World Cup results, IBSF rankings, and international quota limits.
The roster, finalized after the final World Cup stop of the Olympic qualification window, features a mix of returning Olympic medalists and athletes making their Games debut. Quota places were allocated by the International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation, with final selections determined through USABS Olympic criteria tied to ranking position and season-long performance.
“These athletes have earned their place through their incredible effort, talent, and perseverance,” USABS CEO Aron McGuire said. “This team represents the very best of Team USA, and we are excited to watch them compete on the Olympic stage in Italy.”
Women's bobsled
In bobsled, IBSF quotas allowed the United States to enter three women’s sleds and two men’s sleds at the Olympic Games. Pilots were selected according to their position on the IBSF combined ranking list, while push athletes were named through discretionary criteria tied to performance metrics and team needs.
The women’s roster is headlined by Kaillie Humphries, a two-time Olympic champion who remains one of the most decorated pilots in the sport. Humphries has continued to post winning and podium performances on the World Cup circuit during the Olympic cycle, most recently winning the monobob event and taking silver in the two-woman event in Altenberg, Germany, reinforcing her status as a medal favorite heading into Cortina. She will be joined by Jasmine Jones, a longtime member of the U.S. program who has competed alongside Humphries during multiple World Cup seasons.
Elana Meyers Taylor, one of the most decorated U.S. Olympic bobsledders in history, also was named to the team. Meyers Taylor has earned medals at multiple Olympic Games and remains a consistent World Cup contender, bringing veteran leadership to the Cortina roster. She will race with Jadin O’Brien, who earned her Olympic spot after contributing to strong U.S. results during the qualification season.
The women’s team is rounded out by Kaysha Love, reigning world monobob champion, who had a very successful World Cup season with multiple podium placements leading up to the Games, paired with rising star Azaria Hill.
Men’s bobsled
In men’s bobsled, the U.S. earned two sled entries from the IBSF ranking process. Frank Del Duca and Kris Horn emerged as pilots who will steer U.S. sleds in Cortina, each backed by push crews developed over a season of international competition.
Del Duca’s crew includes Josh Williamson, Boone Niederhofer, and Bryan Sosoo — athletes who have competed together on the World Cup circuit and demonstrated start-line speed and teamwork. Horn will be joined by Carsten Vissering, Hunter Powell, and Caleb Furnell, a group that helped secure competitive times in two-man and four-man competitions throughout the 2025–26 season.
Final race combinations for the two-man events will be solidified in the weeks leading up to competition, as teams weigh results, track conditions, and tactical considerations.
Skeleton
The United States received two quota spots in both men’s and women’s skeleton. In accordance with IBSF procedures, Olympic berths were awarded to the highest-ranked American athletes on the IBSF ranking list at the end of the qualification period.
On the women’s side, Mystique Ro and Kelly Curtis secured those places after another season of steady World Cup results. Ro has been one of the most consistent American skeleton athletes of the Olympic cycle, earning multiple podium finishes on the World Cup circuit and establishing herself as a regular contender against the sport’s top European sliders. Curtis, a World Cup veteran, returned to form during the qualification window with results that kept her inside the Olympic cut line across multiple venues.
The men’s skeleton team will feature Austin Florian and Dan Barefoot, both of whom earned their Olympic berths through ranking position rather than discretionary selection. Florian has been a regular presence in World Cup fields over the past several seasons, steadily improving his results on technically-demanding tracks. Barefoot secured his spot by accumulating ranking points across the qualification window, reflecting the depth of U.S. men’s skeleton during the Olympic cycle.
The 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Games officially open February 6 and will air on NBC, streaming live on Peacock.
