USA Bobsled/Skeleton announced the athletes who will carry the stars and stripes into the 2025–26 World Cup season. Four women and three men have been named to represent Team USA on the international skeleton circuit this winter.

Selection Recap

The roster was finalized after two days of Skeleton Selection Races in Park City, Utah. where athletes battled for coveted World Cup slots. Selections were made according to International Bobsleigh & Skeleton Federation (IBSF) criteria, with the committee set to review and potentially adjust the lineup midway through the season.

“Our athletes put in countless hours of preparation leading up to the selection races,” said Curt Tomasevicz, Director of Sport Performance for USA Bobsled/Skeleton. “We’re proud of their hard work and grateful for their commitment to excellence.”

Who Made the Team

Mystique Ro, fresh off her silver-medal performance at the 2025 IBSF World Championships, received an automatic bye and was added to the roster without racing in selections. She leads a women’s lineup featuring Sara RoderickKelly Curtis, and Kendall Wesenberg.

On the men’s side, Austin FlorianDan Barefoot, and Nick Tucker earned World Cup starts following strong trial performances.

“We are excited to have this talented group of athletes represent Team USA on the world stage this season,” Tomasevicz said in the team’s official announcement.

Who Missed Out

Veteran slider, Katie Uhlaender, one of the most decorated U.S. skeleton athletes in history, did not make the initial World Cup roster. According to USABS, rosters for the Europe Cup and North American Cup circuits will be finalized in the coming days.

The selection committee will reconvene halfway through the season to evaluate performances and make any necessary roster changes — meaning Uhlaender and others still could earn a call-up as results unfold.

What’s Next

With the season opener approaching, the World Cup athletes are fine-tuning their starts and equipment before heading overseas to Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, for the first event of the year. The IBSF World Cup will run November 17–23, 2025 on the newly rebuilt Eugenio Monti Sliding Centre — the same venue set to host sliding events at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

For Team USA, it’s more than just an early-season test. It’s a chance to measure up against the world’s best and get a preview of Olympic ice.
