The United States overcame a determined Czech team in its semifinal contest, scoring six goals and securing an unprecedented fifth straight gold medal game berth.
Declan Farmer led the charge with a hat trick, assisting on the other three tallies en route to snapping the record for goals (14) and points (24) recorded at a single Paralympics. He now has at least four points in all four of his games so far in Milan.
With just one more assist in the gold medal game, Farmer will tie his own record for most assists registered in a single Paralympic tournament. He currently has 10. In Beijing, he tallied 11.
David Eustace recorded three points in the game.
The United States will face the winner of the semifinal matchup between Canada and China in the final. Czechia, which never has placed above 5th at any previous Paralympic tournament, will compete for bronze.
