Before teaming up, Holly Harris was the 2016 Australian junior champion in singles, and Jason Chan was the 2014 Canadian novice dance champion.

Now Australia’s national champions, Harris and Chan skated today to a medley built around Debussy’s “Clair de Lune,” choreographed by Marie-France Dubreuil and 2022 Olympian U.S. ice dancer, Jean-Luc Baker.

After a quality outing in the rhythm dance placing 18th, qualifying for the free dance, this free dance showed the team's range and emotional depth on Olympic ice. Looking polished and at home on the largest stage in sport, Harris and Chan were a masterclass of solid training, seemingly skating with the ability to lean fully into their muscle memory. They received 108.64 points in the free dance and 176.39 overall slotting ahead of the Spanish and Swedish teams so far.
