Located in the Dolomite Mountains of Northern Italy, the Cortina Sliding Centre is one of the most iconic venues in bobsled history.
The first track in the Cortina d'Ampezzo region was built in 1923, before going through several updates and rebuilds, most notably for the 1956 Winter Olympics. It has hosted many major competitions, including multiple World Championships in the 1930s, 1950s, and 1990s.
A complete rebuild began in 2024, and after passing critical safety tests in early 2025, the new Cortina Sliding Centre officially is back on the map.
