US Speedskating announced the 12 skaters who will compete on the 2025-26 ISU Short Track World Tour, a four-leg competition circuit which begins in mid-October.

The list comes after a record-breaking weekend at the 2026 US Championships Short Track & World Tour Qualifier, where the country's top skaters competed for a coveted spot on the World Tour roster.

Typically, the United States determines its Olympic squad based on performances both on the World Tour and at Olympic Trials. However, because the U.S. will not hold Trials ahead of the 2026 Winter Games, the primary way for athletes to qualify for the Olympics is through the World Tour.

Leading the women's squad are 2025 Crystal Globe winner Kristen Santos-Griswold and U.S. overall champion Corinne Stoddard. Two days before U.S. Championships, Santos-Griswold elected to skip the event in order to recover from a back injury sustained in practice, but qualified for the World Tour squad due to her Medal Contender status.

Stoddard, who last season topped the podium in an individual World Tour race for the first time, won all three races and the overall title at U.S. Championships last weekend, breaking Santos-Griswold's national record in the women's 1000m in the process.

The duo accounted for all of the United States' 18 individual World Tour podiums last season, grabbing nine each.

On the men's side, 24-year-old Brandon Kim tops the list. Like Stoddard, Kim pulled ahead in all three races contested at last weekend's competition, securing the overall title. On the first day of competition, he also broke a nearly 13-year-old mark set by three-time Olympian J.R. Celski in the men's 500m. Though he didn't make any podiums during last year's World Tour, his World No. 10 ranking in the 500m made him the highest-placed American man in any individual race.

The World Tour kicks off with back-to-back stops in Montreal, Canada, Oct. 9-12 and Oct. 16-19. The competition then heads to Gdansk, Poland, Nov. 20-23, and wraps up in Dordrecht, Netherlands, Nov. 27-30.

In order to clinch an Olympic spot on the World Tour, athletes must secure one individual podium finish in any race or a pair of top-20 finishes, pending roster limits.

US Speedskating is expected to announce its Olympic roster in early December, though the official number of roster spots allocated to each country may not be released by the International Olympic Committee until January 2026.
