U.S. Ski & Snowboard announced the cross-country skiing roster that will represent the Stars and Stripes at the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics.
The squad is led by Olympian Jessie Diggins, who officially qualified for the Games after the World Cup in Trondheim, Norway in Dec. 2025. Milan Cortina will be the fourth Olympics for Diggins. She won gold at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang in the women's team sprint freestyle event. At the 2022 Beijing Games, Diggins took home silver in the women's 30km freestyle event and bronze in the women's sprint freestyle event.
The most decorated American cross-country skier of all time previously said Milan Cortina will be the final Games of her career, as she plans to retire after the World Cup season in March.
“We have some athletes who are at the pinnacle of their craft, winning World Cups and showing everyone what is possible for USA cross country. We’ll be medal threats in some key Olympic events, and we’ve assembled the biggest and most experienced support staff in history to support these athletes," Chris Grover, Program Director of the Stifel U.S. Cross Country Ski Team said after the announcement.
