Since winning silver in Beijing four years ago, Jutta Leerdam has continued to dominate the women's 1000m.

The Dutch skater owns two world titles and three European titles in the distance. This season alone, she won three of her four 1000m races on the World Cup level and snapped her own track record at the season finale in Inzell, Germany. Leerdam heads to Milan Cortina as the World No. 2 in the distance, eyeing her first Olympic gold.
