Submit via #TapIntoTahiti2024 for a chance to become NBC's Olympic surfing correspondent!

When the 2024 Olympic Games head to Paris, France next summer, the world’s best athletes will take center stage in the City of Light... with the exception of the Olympic surfers, who will travel to the French Polynesian paradise of Tahiti, nearly 10 thousand miles away, to ride the gnarly waves of Teahupo’o to Olympic glory. Want to sit front-row on the beach and experience it all in person?

If the answer is “yes,” “absolutely,” “I’m already packing my bags!” or all of the above, you’re in luck! #TapIntoTahiti2024 is the Olympic opportunity of a lifetime for one stand-out content creator. To submit, post a TikTok video using the hashtag #TapIntoTahiti2024 and tagging @NBCOlympics, and in 30 seconds or less, describe a gold-medal worthy day at the beach. Be sure to center the narrative around the medal-worthy moments of that day.

Make sure that the content of your video is in line with the Olympic values: excellence, friendship and respect.

The finalist of #TapIntoTahiti2024, presented by Visa, will travel to Tahiti during the 2024 Paris Olympic Games as NBC Olympics’ newest surfing correspondent! No surfing expertise required—keep it real and call the action as you see it. We’re looking for personalities as big as the waves in Tahiti to deliver surfing coverage so spectacular you can almost taste the saltwater.

Submissions for the #TapIntoTahiti2024 casting open on October 27, 2023 and must be submitted before November 25, 2023 to be considered. Videos will be judged on organic reach, as well as the creator’s technical expertise, video production skills (i.e. use of platform tools, sounds, graphics, etc.) and captivating storytelling skills. To be considered, the creator must present their actual selves within the video, not a false representation.

Three to five participants will advance to the callback phase, where they will be given creative direction on how to be a real life surfing correspondent. The callback participants will make a final video, then fans will have the opportunity to cast their vote. Tap in!
