U.S. Ski and Snowboard announced the 24 riders named to the U.S. snowboard team for the 2026 Winter Olympics, and the list includes a trio of past gold medalists.

On the park and pipe side, the U.S. earned the maximum of four quota spots in all disciplines except for women's slopestyle/big air.

The halfpipe team is led by two-time reigning Olympic champion Chloe Kim. The 25-year-old is one of several women who could become the first snowboarder to win a gold medal at three consecutive Olympics. Although she’s currently sidelined with a torn labrum, Kim has said she’ll be “good to go” for the Milan Cortina Games.

The women’s halfpipe team also includes Bea Kim and Maddy Schaffrick, who both have earned podium finishes this season, as well as Maddie Mastro, who last year became the first woman to ever land a halfpipe run with two doubles.

Alessandro Barbieri, one of four riders named to the men’s halfpipe team, is a name to watch in Livigno. The 17-year-old is a rising star with smooth style and big tricks, including the triple cork and switch backside 1260, in his arsenal.

Chase Josey, a rider known for difficult switch tricks, will make his third Olympic appearance in men’s halfpipe. Jake Pates, who recently rejoined the competition circuit after a lengthy hiatus, will return to the Winter Games for the first time since 2018. Chase Blackwell will join Barbieri in making his Olympic debut.

For slopestyle and big air, the team is headlined by 2018 Olympic slopestyle champion Red Gerard. The 25-year-old continues to be a strong contender in slopestyle and is coming off back-to-back X Games titles in 2024 and 2025.

The men’s slopestyle and big air team also includes 17-year-old Ollie Martin, an up-and-comer who scored bronze medals in both disciplines at the 2025 World Championships. Gerard and Martin are joined by first-time Olympian Jake Canter and returning Olympian Sean FitzSimons on the roster.

Because the U.S. only received three quota spots in women’s slopestyle and big air, Jamie Anderson ended up as the biggest name to miss out on Olympic qualification. After taking time away from the sport to start a family, the three-time medalist returned to competition this season in an attempt to qualify for the Olympic team. While she had some solid results in the selection events, she was outranked by teammates Lily Dhawornvej, Hahna Norman and Jess Perlmutter based on the WSPL (World Snowboarding Points List) points allocated for each rider’s best single result at one of those events.

In snowboard cross, 44-year-old Nick Baumgartner is set to compete in his fifth Olympic Games. The Michigan native finally earned a spot atop the Olympic podium four years ago in Beijing when he teamed up with Lindsey Jacobellis to win gold in the mixed team event. Jacobellis, who gave birth to her first child in July, opted not to make a run at Olympic qualification for Milan Cortina.

This will also be the fifth Olympics for Faye Thelen (née Gulini), who recently took a few seasons away from the sport to start a family. She’s one of four women named to the team alongside 2022 Olympian Stacy Gaskill and teenagers Hanna Percy and Brianna Schnorrbusch.

Nathan Pare has been the most successful member of the snowboard cross team recently, with two podium finishes in the last year. Pare and Baumgartner are joined on the men’s roster by Jake Vedder and Cody Winters.

Winters, the only athlete on the roster competing in multiple disciplines, made the team in both snowboard cross and parallel giant slalom. He’s had recent success in Alpine snowboarding, earning a World Cup podium in the non-Olympic discipline of parallel slalom in January. He’s one of just two riders named to the parallel giant slalom roster, with Iris Pflum set to be the lone U.S. entrant into the women’s event in Livigno.
