Three-time Olympian Jessie Diggins officially has qualified for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
Diggins qualified for her fourth Olympics after taking third in the women's 10km interval start free at the World Cup in Trondheim, Norway.
The Olympic gold medalist is the most decorated American cross-country skier in history. She won gold at the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang in the women's team sprint freestyle event. The hardware was the first-ever gold medal in cross-country skiing for Team USA. At the 2022 Beijing Games, Diggins took home silver in the women's 30km freestyle event and bronze in the women's sprint freestyle event.
Outside of Olympic competition, Diggins is a seven-time world championship medalist. She has 30 World Cup wins to her name and has reached the World Cup podium 82 times during her career.
Diggins has won three overall Crystal Globes and three distance Crystal Globes, including one of each last season. The awards are given to the World Cup champion in their respective categories. She's also won the overall Tour de Ski title twice in her career.
This year, Diggins already has been on three World Cup podiums in just the first two weeks of the 2025-26 season, including a victory in the women's 20km skiathlon event. She currently remains the overall World Cup leader.
In November, the 34-year-old cross-country skier announced her plans to retire in March after the 2025-26 World Cup season ends. Now, it's official Diggins will have a farewell party in Milan Cortina when she competes on her fourth U.S. cross-country skiing Olympic roster. She's previously said she's planning to have 60 of her closest friends and family in Italy to celebrate her Olympic finale.
