Jordan Stolz's reign as the sprint king continues.

The 21-year-old phenom won his fourth-straight 1000m race, skating the distance in 1:07.63 minutes en route to his third track record of the Hamar World Cup. The previous mark, set by the Netherlands' Joep Wennemars in March, stood at 1:08.05.

On the first day of competition in Hamar, Stolz snapped track record times in the 500m and 1500m. He similarly recorded new track bests in all three of his signature events at the third World Cup stop, all of which also were held by Dutch skaters.

The gold marks his 11th in 16 races so far this season. He has not lost in one of his signature distances since earning bronze in the first 500m at the Calgary World Cup, bringing his unbeaten streak in the sprints to nine.

Three other American skaters placed in the top 10: Conor McDermott-Mostowy, who posted a season-best 6th; Zach Stoppelmoor, skated to 9th place in his first 1000m A Group race of the season; and Cooper McLeod, who finished in 10th.

Czechia's Metodej Jilek also set a new track record, shaving over one second off the previous mark in the men's 5000m. The 19-year-old crossed the finish line in 6:07.58 minutes for his second gold of the season. His first win came in the 10,000m at World Cup No. 3.

Casey Dawson, the American skater who won the race at the Calgary World Cup, placed 8th.

Reigning Olympic champion, Miho Takagi, collected her second gold of the season and of the weekend, skating the women's 1000m in 1:14.39. Takagi also skated to gold in the 1500m on the first day of competition.

Before her two races in Hamar, the Japanese skater previously had earned two silvers on this year's campaign, one apiece in the 1000m and 1500m.

Jutta Leerdam, who was ranked first in the distance heading into the weekend, elected to skip the competition to focus on preparations for the Dutch Olympic Trials in late December.

American Brittany Bowe, the world record holder in the distance, skated to 4th for the second-straight weekend, missing the podium by just 0.11 seconds. She has yet to make a 1000m podium this season.

Dutch skater Marijke Groenewoud raced to her first 3000m podium of the season, taking gold just 0.35 seconds ahead of Canada's Isabelle Weidemann. Like Leerdam, Joy Beune, who won both of the two previous 3000m races this season, also elected to skip the weekend's competition.

The Hamar World Cup concludes Sunday, Dec. 14, with the second 500m, the mass start, the team pursuit, and the mixed relay competitions.
